GridGuys connects commercial electrical enquiries with relevant electrical contractors. We do not carry out electrical work ourselves. This page sets out exactly what happens when you submit an enquiry, and where our role ends.
Use the enquiry form to describe the work: the service category, site postcode, building type, scope, timeframe and any access constraints. You can attach drawings, photographs or specifications so the requirement is understood from real information.
We look at the information supplied — the type of work, the location, the premises and the programme — to understand what the requirement involves and which category of contractor it sits with.
Where appropriate, the requirement is passed to an electrical contractor whose stated services and coverage appear relevant to the work described. Contractor availability is not guaranteed, and not every enquiry will result in an introduction.
The contractor handles the technical discussion, any site visit or survey, the quotation and the electrical work itself. They deal with you directly, and any agreement for work is between you and the contractor — not GridGuys.
So a contractor can understand and respond to your requirement, the details you submit through the enquiry form may be shared with the contractor your enquiry is routed to. This includes the project description, site location, building and access information, any files you attach, and your contact details.
Your information is shared so the contractor can respond to the enquiry — it is not sold or used for unrelated marketing. Full details of what is collected, why, and who it is passed to are set out in our Privacy Policy.
Contractor availability is not guaranteed. Whether an enquiry results in an introduction depends on the type of work, the location and the contractors available for that category at the time. We do not promise response times, and any timescales for quotations or work are a matter for the contractor.
Once a contractor is in contact, they are responsible for their own quotations, credentials, insurance, competence and the standard of any work carried out. You should review these directly with the contractor before instructing work — see contractor selection for how GridGuys approaches suitability.
Each route uses the same enquiry form and simply tells the receiving contractor what kind of response you are looking for.
